Free tools for active learning. No registration, no installation, ready to use in the classroom.

We are living through a technological moment that just a few years ago no one could have imagined. The ability to create educational resources, design learning experiences, and transform a class is literally within reach of any teacher.

But that reality doesn't always reach the classroom. Many teachers feel overwhelmed by the pace of change — not for lack of willingness. The same old problems are more present than ever: unequal access to technology, scarce time to prepare lessons (time that isn't compensated), increasingly demanding curricula. In that context, technology is often perceived as a threat rather than an ally.

Faced with that, we decided to do something different.

What's on the site

Who we are

TheInteractiveClassroom.com grew out of an interdisciplinary team that combines experience in classroom teaching, educational psychology, learning experience design, and multimedia design. A diversity of perspectives that gives the project its particular texture.

We are a small, distributed team: we live in different parts of Argentina, in Spain, and as far as New Zealand. Some team members have known each other for a long time, worked together on different projects, and even shared workspaces. We are brought together by areas we are passionate about and that keep us connected despite the distance: education, technology, and personal projects as the engine behind everything else.

That personal project is the catalyst we use to study, learn, and experiment. The Interactive Classroom was born from that energy, with no agenda other than to build something worth building.

Do you share that same passion and feel you have something to contribute? We'd love to hear from you.

Our vision

We want to present technology as an ally. Using it in the classroom should be as easy as it gets. That means tools that can be set up in seconds and are ready to use: to reflect, to play, to motivate, to make new things happen in the classroom. No registration, no installation, no learning curve.

But it's not just a matter of technical simplicity. There are three dimensions that matter to us equally.

Real accessibility

Amid the abundance of resources that exists today, adopting them is still hard: it requires learning sophisticated tools, mastering new software, investing time that isn't available. We want to remove that barrier.

High-impact pedagogies for everyone

Project-based learning, visible thinking, formative assessment, purposeful gamification: approaches with strong evidence behind them that nonetheless remain largely unexplored territory for many teachers. Not because they aren't interested, but because accessing them in a practical way isn't easy.

Intentional competency development

Critical thinking, communication, autonomy, digital citizenship, social-emotional skills. Not as add-on content, but as threads woven into any class, any subject, at any level.

A project built on passion and community

The Interactive Classroom is, above all, a passion project. Each team member contributes what they can, what motivates them, and what they feel like working on at any given moment.

To sustain a free, quality project we have the support of Questiory, our first sponsor, whose pedagogical vision aligns closely with ours.

We would love to bring on more partners who want to be part of this. If your organization shares this vision, we'd love to talk.

We don't see The Interactive Classroom as a static repository. The vision is that over time it also becomes a space where teachers themselves share how they are making their classes more active, creative, and inspiring. A place where what happens in classrooms feeds the site as much as the site feeds the classrooms.

We are just getting started, with one strong conviction: that more active, participatory, and meaningful education should be within reach of any teacher who wants to try.
